I never remember a time in my life when I did not want to play football.
My son who is 8 years old started playing football for the first time last week. He asked me to sign him up a week before practice started for this season and I did that for him. He made it through the first week of practice without pads and thought it was great, then on day 2 of practice with equipment on, he decided that he doesnt want to play anymore.
I will do whatever is good for my son right now, but I have to say that I am so not dealing with this well right now......he told me all last week how much fun he was having and today it stopped and suddenly he hates it and wants nothing more to do with it and I dont know why.
I dont want him to quit cause I dont want to him to think that he can quit anything in his future that gets difficult. I, being the pussy dad, will allow his monkey ass to quit if he wants (due to advice from my wife and other family) but this is sooooooooooo not sitting well with me.

Click it or Ticket
Ya know what... the freakin ads for this whole "Click it or Ticket" campaign is annoying as hell. Wearing your seatbelt is the law, yeah that is great, but seriously why all the radio and tv commercials? I understand having billboards or signs along the highway concerning the new rules, but good fucking lord, stop the damn commercials!!! Last year it was 800 commercials on every fucking channel about not drinking and driving (cause ya know, "over the limit, under arrest") and this year it is fucking seatbelts.
Maybe I am just over reacting about all this but here anyway is a list of what pisses me off about these kind of commercials:
1) What is the deal with spending a brazillion dollars to let us know about laws that are common sense. Yeah we know drunk driving is against the rules, but ya know, it is just fun.
2) I find it hilarious that seat belts are mandatory but helmets are not required for motorcycles.
3) Why not make commercials telling people that rape, murder, arson and rape are illegal as well. Oh did I mention rape twice? My bad...I like rape. (please tell me someone got that reference)
4) The last thing is really, havent seat belts been mandatory for 10 years now? Giving people a warning about checking for it is just retarded in my opinion. I was in a car wreck 10 years ago when some old woman didnt notice that 3 lanes of traffic came to a stop and she was nice enough to smash into me, since then i wear my seatbelt everytime i get in the car. It is a little something to possibly keep my ass from going through the windshield in case of a wreck. But I gotta say, I think it should be voluntary....if a dumbass wants to drive a rice burner like he is Nick freakin Hogan without a seatbelt then I for one welcome that shit....weed out the morons I say!!

What the fuck is up with gas prices in Florence? $4.30 a gallon when every other gas station in the area is at $4.09, are ya freakin kidding me? Good lord I used to avoid the BP on Buttermilk Pike due to high prices but now it is cheaper for me to drive there for gas than for me to stop near my house.
How is it that when the price of oil raises a $1.00 the price at the pump jumps a dime..but when, like last week, over a two day period oil dropped almost $10.00 and if i remember right that is around the time the BP on Rt 18 in Florence raised its prices to $4.30. We will never see gas below $3.50 a gallon again will we? Oh and special cock punch is saved for you OPEC shitheads. On the heels of oil dropping nine bucks a statement is issued saying basically "if you gas prices are bad now, wait until the Israeli's and U.S. start a war with Iran". That was a pretty good code for "better get the price of oil back up to $145"...thanks a lot cocksucker! Make sure the price stays high so you can buy a solid platinum toilet to go with your solid gold toilet you already have!
Anyone who has a job has to buy gas to get back and forth, there is no way around that right? But for a nice little cock punch to oil companies I am vowing right now to not go inside any gas station and buy anything other than gas. Same goes with getting a car wash at the stations that offer them, which is something if my car was screamin dirty i would occasionally pop down another 2 bucks for a wash but now...fuck all that. Unless you are giving the car washes for free, cram it up your asses! There is one exception though...the BP on US 42 in Florence, nice people working there and is on my way home where i will stop at times to buy beer, that will be the only gas station that gets my bizness. Star Wars :Return of the Jedi
I just got done watching Return of the Jedi on Spike TV.At the end, when Luke looks over during the party after blowing up the Death Star and sees the ghosts of Jedi past...what the fuck! Seriously George Lucas...are you fucking kidding me? Look at the pic below and see if you can pic out what has me perplexed
Why the hell did Lucas change out the old Vader ghost for the uppity young Vader ghost? And if he can, during the re-re-editing of his old movies did he not switch out the old Obi-Wan for the cool young Obi-Wan that the young Vader knew? Or for that matter, why not add in Qui-Gon and Mace Windu? He added in scenes of other worlds celebrating the newly blown up Death Star, why not a few more ghosts at the end?

NCAA Championship game
great game Kansas and Memphis! Way to keep this great tourney going all the way to champ game,and going to O.T. ....fucking awesome!!
I do want to add that it drives me absolutely crazy to hear announcers chime in about how this team or that team has not scored in X number of minutes - or the stat that comes up when one team rattles off three straight baskets (oooh Memphis is on a 6-0 run last 1:30) that has always pushed my buttons!
I almost turned off the game with about two minutes to go, Kansas couldnt make a shot and Memphis was firing on all cylindars...I am very happy that I kept watching.
Great game again boys, I feel for ya Memphis, you guys played your hearts out

March Madness
what a great first and second round for the NCAA championship! Great buzzer beaters! Great big teams getting knocked off by great smaller teams! Western Kentucky making it to the sweet 16 (cant believe you guys didnt do that when Jack Jennings was a Hilltopper!) U.K. lost in the first round that they did deserve to be in, to a team that deserved to win against them. To all you U.K. haters, and there are a lot of you, the Cats wrapped up a bad season and are graduating two seniors. They are loaded with froshmen and sophmores and will probably have a good recruiting class coming in...they will be a force again in the next few years!

I can't say this enough
I honestly get sick to my stomache when I watch Olberman for more than a minute. Well God damn it! I heard about the special holiday that today is back in January and yet I totally forgot about it....today is, for all who do not know is the guys version of Valentines day. That is right...mark it on your calender for next year, March 14 is officially "Steak and Blow-Job" day!
